The International Society for the History of Medicine
The British Society for the History of Medicine represents the United Kingdom in the International Society for the History of Medicine (ISHM). The ISHM has direct individual membership, and members have privileged access to the biannual e-journal Vesalius.
The 50th Congress of the International Society for the History of Medicine will take place in Tunis,Tunisia, from 4 to 6 of November 2026. Congress languages will be English, French and Arabic. Preliminary programme here.
