Your marketing permissions

The BSHM will uphold your choices about what type of communications you want to receive and how you want to receive them. However, there are some communications that need to happen regardless of your marketing preferences. These are what we would describe as essential communications to fulfil our promises to you as a member of the BSHM. Examples of this type of communication would be:

Transaction notification messaging, such as Payments of conference registration fees
Membership related mailings such as your renewal reminder

We will retain your personal information for as long as you have an active relationship with the BSHM.

The BSHM will use all reasonable means to safeguard and secure the personal information we collect.

We do use external ‘data processors’ to manage ticket purchases and hold email mailing lists.  All of our data processors are obliged to keep your personal data safe and secure in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.
